Puppy Training
Professional Canine Services offers several puppy-specific training options designed to build a foundation of trust, confidence, and socialization. Training your puppy early ensures they develop good habits, builds their confidence, and improves communication between you and your dog.
At the end of the program, your pup will be tested for their American Kennel Club (AKC) S.T.A.R. Puppy program evaluation. This foundational course is designed for puppies under one year old and focuses on four key areas: Socialization, Training, Activity, and Responsibility.
Key Focus Areas:
- Potty Training
- Crate Training
- Shaping Behavior
- Socialization
- Environmentals
- Consistency & Structure
When to Start?
Training a puppy can start as early as 8 weeks old, typically around the time they are adopted. Classes are available for puppies up to 6 months old, with early training helping prevent bad habits and establishing a strong foundation for obedience. To ensure your puppy matures into a well-mannered, reliable dog we recommend enrolling them in training as early as possible.
Prior to any training, new K9s must be evaluated and have proof of current health vaccinations.
